Auguste Morisot, 4 verrières - Ensemble Espace

Discover the discrete talents of Auguste Morisot from the 23rd June to the 24th September 2012, at the Musée des Beaux Arts de Lyon (Lyon Fine Art Museum).

Are you familiar with Auguste Morisot (1857-1951)? This multitalented artist and former pupil of the Lyon School of Fine Art was a painter and a great master in the arts of drawing and stained glass.

Take the time to admire this exhibition, which explores two of Auguste Morisot's favourite themes, nature and the home, as you discover the intimate and intensely personal world of the artist.

His works create a gentle, cosy and moving atmosphere, a product of the warm and friendly world of Auguste Morisot. The portraits of his wife and their little girl display the benevolent and attentive eye of the father, the husband and the artist.

The preparatory works are displayed along with the stained glass pieces and are ideal for viewing as a family.

Take a relaxing and uplifting journey into the bright and happy world of a great local artist who definitely deserves more attention.

Admission to the museum and the exhibition are free with the Lyon City Card.
