The selection

Selection criteria :

  • Bids should be from starting companies or organizing agencies with less than 3 years’ activity.
  • Non profit associations, unions or federations with a first exhibition building project in mind. 

Eligible projects must be :

  • innovative,
  • have a true growth potential and should be related to areas of local industrial excellence,
  • generate interest on a national scale.

The selection process

A selection committee will verify the eligibility of projects submitted and will validate successful candidates.

The greater Lyon Council and the Lyon Convention and Exhibitions Bureau will verify the eligibility of projects submitted and will validate successful candidate bids.

The final choice of bids to be awarded Expobooster support will be determined by the following institutions:

  • The Lyon Convention and Exhibitions Bureau,
  • Partner local authorities,
  • The Lyon Chamber of Commerce and Industry
  • The ADERLY (Agency for Economic Development of the Lyonnaise Region)
  • Market study will be validated by an external consultant specialized in the exhibition industry
  • Professionals from concerned industry sectors.
  • Concerned Expobooster partner venues

Documents necessary

Expobooster bidders must submit a bid document detailing their project including the main parts of their business plan.

  • Operational summary.
  • Presentation of products and services offered.
  • Presentation of market (parties concerned, supply and demand, key figures, market trends) – Current competition
  • Forecasted Targets
  • Company strategy.
  • Human ressources.
  • Legal aspects.
  • Funding required.
