Each day comes with different wonders that allow you to dream, be surprised, think, become animated or find the festival for you.


Everyone Outdoors!

From June 21 to September 2, 2017, the Tout l'Monde Dehors Festival (Everyone Outdoors!) invites people in Lyon to celebrate summertime outdoors in their neighbourhoods. Including music, dance, theatre, sport and films, some 300 events are scheduled throughout the city.


Quais du Polar: Lyon holds its breath

The first weekend of April, Lyon welcomes the masters of crime fiction for the Quai du Polar festival. The 13th year of the festival promises a number of highlights, such as the theme "Europe, from East to West", and a full-scale investigation throughout the city's streets. 

Fête des Lumieres

Eye Prefer Paris is an insiders guide to Paris with stories about art, culture, history,events, food, and shopping. Richard Nahem, an ex-New Yorker living in Paris, is the writer and photographer of Eye Prefer Paris and also leads private insider tours of Paris Richard came to Lyon in December 2013 to experience the Fete de Lumieres for the first time and was inspired by the dazzling light displays and the spirit of the people and the city. 


Lyon’s silk-making experts right at your doorstep!

Whether you're buying at factory wholesale prices, learning to make a dress or choosing some fabric for home decoration, all of the region’s silk-making experts will be open to the general public at the silk market from Thursday, November 30th to Sunday, December 3rd, 2017. 


Contemporary music: a touch of otherworldliness and fantasy

From March 5-29, 2014, the Musiques en Scène biennial festival invites you to discover contemporary music. With stripped-down pianos playing unaided alongside smoking basins, a ‘dream store’ at the museum or a musical trail on the river banks, you’ll be entering an astonishing and almost dreamlike world.
