Located in one of the Lyon's most magnificent buildings, the Hôtel de Villeroy (1730). 30 rooms present a 2000 year history of the textile industry, from ancient Egyptians to pieces before the birth of Jesus Christ to modern work from all over the world. Furthermore it provides the profound history of the Lyon silk trade going back to the Renaissance period. Rare Persian rugs, Coptic tapestries and silk from Spain and Italy…
Hours 10am - 5.30pm. Guided Tours: Sun at 3pm except during temporary exhibitions.
Closure Mondays & all public holidays, Easter Sunday and bank holidays.
Price €10/ 16-25 & Stud: €7.50. Under 12: free.Ticket valuable for both museums.
