From April 16th , 2011, at the Musée Miniature et Cinéma (Museum of Miniatures and Cinema).
An exhibition space covering 1000 sq. m all about how cinema works behind the scenes: all the tricks and special effects.
Have you ever wondered how the aerial dog-fights in Top Gun were really done? Or how they made Star Wars? And how did that gorilla in the film manage not to harm the child? Ever heard of animatronics?
Anyhow, no point racking your brains looking for possible theories… You have a vague idea, right, and you know they used something or other.... But what was it? Well, you can find all the answers at the Museum of Miniatures and Cinema.
To find out all about what goes on behind the scenes in the films and their incredible special effects, come to the new Cinema wing of the Museum of Miniatures and Cinema, which opened to the public on April 16th
.
The catch line alone sounds promising: “Magicians of the Seventh Art reveal their secrets” and you’ll see that the visit lives up to expectations!
The exhibition takes a look at a hundred or so films illustrated along a theme-based circuit, brought to life with authentic items straight out of the original film sets: miniatures, artificial limbs, costumes, masks, animatronics and other special effects, as well as digital or 3D visual effects and techniques, all explained in a variety of videos on “the making of…”
And all on exclusive display!
One thing’s for sure - after this, you won’t see films in quite the same light!
