À la Piscine is one of Lyon’s iconic landmarks, a great atmosphere and a friendly and social setting overlooking the city, in tune with the times and also with culture, discovery and diversity. And of course, food above all!
So why open a restaurant in 2017 in Lyon, when this "city of mothers, three rivers and Bocuse restaurants" already has 1,700 of them? Because in just a few years food has become a national sport and the favourite cultural and social activity of French people both at home and outside. Because well-being, health and sustainable development are now widely-shared social issues. And because community life, sharing, and the mingling of cultures and diversity are essential core values in large cities, although there are still ongoing battles to be waged. What does “opening a restaurant” mean if not the creation of a social setting? The first task of À la Piscine will be to bring to life one of the city’s iconic landmarks, the magnificent Piscine du Rhône, with its architecture and amazing view over the city and the river, and its young and enthusiastic team, and its assumed local anchorage and panoramic outlook. With chefs and guests from all over the world, it serves carefully created, generous and authentic dishes that highlight ingredients inspired by the seasons. For all your private or business events, À la Piscine welcomes you on closing days (Monday and Tuesday).
