Built in the mid-19th c., the church opened for worship on November 9, 1862. It was restored in 2005 thanks to the municipality, which is its owner.
L'église possède une statue de Joseph-Hugues Fabisch (1810-1886), directeur, à l'époque, de l'école des Beaux-Arts à Lyon, "La Vierge à l'Enfant" qui est un moulage, vraisemblablement en terre cuite.
