The church was built from 1650 to 1690 from rammed earth. As it was too cramped, a new church was built from 1855 to 1860 to replace it, designed by the Lyon-based architect Pierre Bernard. Its pipe organs are in a Neo-Classical style.
Les orgues ont été restaurés par le facteur d'orgue Frédéric Saby. Les vitraux sont l'oeuvre du maître verrier Pierre Campagne.
