A real opened air museum...
It is the first cemetery in Lyon, dating back from 1812.
During the walk along the alleys of Loyasse cemetery, you discover the French religious funerary architecture.
It has really evolved since the first graves from 1812. The epitaphs, grandiloquent at the beginning of the 19th Century, became soberer then.
During the visit, a name, curved in the stone reminds us of a family, a famous Lyonnais… Ancient majors, painters, famous doctors... Not to be missed the strange presence of flowers put on Magus Philippe's grave all the year round since the 19th !
