- To be the driving force behind the development of the city's tourism
To promote Lyon's image and notoriety, develop new methods of welcoming tourists, and to think of the city of tomorrow. Lyon's development requires the coordination of various sectors : tourist professionals, international influence, communication, culture, economy, and urban development. In this context, the Tourist Office's goals include not only bringing ideas to the table but also creating proposals and helping the community make well informed decisions.
- To develop and put into action marketing strategies and sales promotions
To be familiar with market trends and potential, participate in meetings, maintain contact with the press, create partnerships with tourist professionals. At the Tourist Office, the goal of marketing, promotion, and sales professionals is to monitor market developments and to determine the actions that are best adapted to each market. Objective : reinforce Lyon's presence in France and abroad Provide solutions and guarantees to travel agents, tour operators, and other tourism intermediaries. The intermediary agencies are the key players in the development of Lyon as a travel destination. They are an important link between the Tourist Office and the final clients. In order to act effectively, one of our goals is to listen to and anticipate their needs, making them aware of all the possibilities available in the city and the region. We must also make innovative proposals that provide them with quality solutions so that they can further develop the flow of tourism in Lyon.
- Welcome visitors and offer quality information
Every day of the year, tourists come looking for information on the city and its surrounding region. Our mission includes listening to their needs and giving them reliable information, but also giving them advice that corresponds to these needs. For us, welcoming tourists includes treating them with the same care and attention that we would give to friends. It is also offering them beautiful moments of discovery to share along with the desire to stay longer and even come back.
- Provide services and sales in order to stimulate the local economy
The Tourist Office plays an important role in the local economy. Our mission consists of developing new services : tourist packages created in connection with cultural establishments, the reservation desk, gift shop, and ticket office. One of our objectives is to offer modern tourist services. We create and make available services that contribute to the success of the visitors'stay in Lyon and favor positive financial results for our partners and members
- Coordinate the member's activities
The professionalism of our members, the effective coordination of their respective actions, and the quality of their services are all essentiel to tourist activity. Another goal is to play the role of " band leader " and to take new steps. Objectives : to improve and adapt the services offered according to the client's needs, in order to meet and exceed these needs, by leaving them with an image of high quality tourism in Lyon.
