On route for the valley of the river Azergues!

The trip through the south of the Beaujolais country goes through Châtillon, Chessy-les-Mines, and the Bois d'Oingt, and up to the charming village of Oingt perched on the top of its hill, where we stop for a visit.

It is completely built in “pierres dorées” the local golden-coloured sandstone and offers a magnificent panorama of the surrounding countryside.

Then, off to Salles-Arbuissonas, for visiting the countess-canonesses cloister.

In the afternoon:

After lunch, off to the north Beaujolais, on the vintage wine route: Odenas (Brouilly), Saint Lager, Villier-Morgon, Chiroubles, Fleurie, Chenas…

Or

A visit to the “Hameau du Vin” or “Hamlet of Wine” in Romanèche-Thorins.

This modern, cultural area offers you the possibility of appreciating wine-making techniques from A to Z and recounts the history of the Beaujolais area.
